lowmemcheck software package provides detect low-memory systems and enter lowmem mode, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install lowmemcheck
lowmemcheck is installed in your system.
Make ensure the lowmemcheck package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep lowmemcheck *
You will get with lowmemcheck package name, version, architecture and description in a table
